Boris Johnson is set to visit Berlin and then Paris on Wednesday and Thursday, during which he is expected to tell Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron that there must be a new Brexit deal.

Johnson is to make it clear to Chancellor Merkel and President Macron that Britain will leave the EU on October 31st with, or without, a deal.

However, the Prime Minister’s eagerness to leave without a deal may have been curbed slightly over the past week as leaked documents showed that a no-deal Brexit could result in a three month “meltdown” at ports, a hard Irish border and food and medicine shortages.

Johnson is hoping to secure a new deal after Theresa May’s was defeated three times in Parliament, otherwise, Britain are likely to be forced out of the European Union without an agreement.
