Heuston train services disrupted due to vandalism

Thousands of rail passengers faced significant delays this morning following the vandalism of signalling equipment between Newbridge and Kildare last night.

Iarnród Éireann said that the theft and damage of cables led to delays of up to one hour on services into and out of Heuston Station in Dublin.

A manual signalling system was used this morning while crews worked to repair the damage.

Damages have been repaired, however, delays may still occur due to congestion following this mornings antics.
