Robert Keogh (37) has been sentenced to nine years in prison for smuggling guns into the UK.
He smuggled 60 handguns. He was stopped at the Port of Dover on the 2nd of August where the pistols were discovered inside a car.
Keogh stated that he feared for the safety of himself and his family for if he didn’t do it he could have been shot.
Judge Rupert Lowe stated “One way or another, you decided to earn money by taking part in very high-risk gun smuggling.”
